I think we all know that Infinite from Sonic Forces is probably one of the lamest and most least interesting characters in Sonic History. He's over edginess only accompanied by his laughable backstory. But I had a thought, HOW CAN WE FIX HIM? Well, this is my take on it, be free to share how you'd do Infinite in the comments. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Backstory: Infinite seems to be a complete enigma, when Eggman discovered the Phantom Ruby, Infinite came with it. The Phantom Ruby was bound to this Infinite person. He seemingly swears allegiance to his new 'master' Eggman and will help in his endeavors to take over the world. However, Infinite seems to have ambitions of his very own. He seems to also know Sonic and his friends a lot, even know things that they themselves don't seem to know, and used that against them. Personality: Infinite comes across as very sophisticated and down to earth. Never really loses his temper

Author's Note: This one-shot was written as a final school project from earlier in the year. It is not technically canon. It is presented as it was originally written with some minor edits for errors that have been spotted since the school year ended.  Nearly three years ago, he had done the unthinkable. Now, her day had finally arrived. A blue sky as clear as the purest crystal spread over the universe above. She glanced up at this crystal sky through a window as she walked into a large room. "Are you ready?" A soft, familiar voice spoke as she entered and exhaled. The woman turned her head to the keeper of the soft voice, and a tan doe was found with a sweet gaze. The doe took her paw, lightly grasping her ashed glove with her blackened hoof, then took her over to a partitioned area of the room with a full body mirror at its center. Infinite and the Jackal Squad grew up together in an orphanage. They were all inseparable since they had one thing in common: no one wanted them. The orphanage was burnt down thanks to natural disasters. Infinite and his sibling-like friends were the only survivors. After the burning, they created a Robin-hood kind of gang; stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. They did no harm, gathered materials to survive out in the wild and were a peaceful group who only fought in self defense. One day, while gathering materials, the group stumbles upon a weird stone (the Phantom Ruby, named differently for this rewrite… new name is TBD) That night, however, when everyone in the Jackal Squad is fast asleep, everyone but Infinite were murdered in cold blood. He woke up shortly before the perpetrators left and stayed quiet. He caught a glimpse of one of them, they had spikes in the back of their head, yet he couldn't make out the color. When they left, Infinite was finally given the chance
